Overview
This page explains what information is collected when you read or interact with The Lux Designer, how it is used, and how to contact us about it. The Lux Designer is a WordPress site focused on design and interiors content. We do not run ads, accept orders, or operate a newsletter on this site.
Information we receive
We receive limited information when you visit the site or choose to post a public comment.
- Usage and system data from our hosting and content delivery network, including IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, the time of the request, and basic error diagnostics. This is standard for running a website and keeping it reliable.
- Public comment content that you submit on a post, along with the name and email address you provide and your IP address and browser user agent (saved by WordPress to help with moderation and anti-abuse).
- Administrative data for the site’s single registered user (the site administrator). Reader accounts are not available.
Comments
Comments may be open on articles. If you leave a comment, the text you submit and the name you choose are published. Your email address is not published but is stored with the comment so we can manage the discussion and reduce spam and abuse. WordPress also records the IP address and browser user agent associated with the comment for the same reasons.
Comments may be checked manually before or after publication. If you request removal of your own comment, we will delete it unless we need to keep a copy to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses only a small number of cookies:
– WordPress sets session cookies for logged-in administrators so the site can be managed. Readers who do not log in do not receive these.
– If you choose “remember me” when leaving a comment, WordPress may store your name, email, and site (if provided) in your browser so you do not have to retype them next time. This is optional and stored on your device.

Caching, hosting, and logs
To deliver pages quickly and keep the site online, we use hosting and a content delivery network that cache copies of pages and media close to visitors. These services keep server logs that include IP addresses, user agents, and timestamps. Cached copies normally expire on their own after a short period or when content changes. Logs are used for operations, performance, security, and troubleshooting and are accessible only to our site operators and service providers.
Email and other direct contact
If you email us at one of the published addresses, we will receive the contents of your message and the metadata your email service includes. We use this information to respond, route requests, and maintain records of our communications. Email is processed by our email service provider and stored in our mailboxes. Do not send sensitive personal information by email unless necessary for your request.

Data retention
Server and CDN logs are kept for a limited period needed for operations and security. Cached copies of pages expire automatically or when purged during updates. Comment data is kept as part of the article record for as long as the comment remains published. If a comment is removed, residual backups may persist for a time and then fall out of rotation. Emails you send to us are kept as long as needed to handle the matter and maintain reasonable records.
Your choices and rights
You can choose not to leave a comment or to clear the optional commenter cookie from your browser at any time. If you have left a comment, you may request a copy of the personal data associated with it or ask us to delete or correct it. You may also object to certain processing or ask us to restrict it where applicable.
If you are in a region that grants a right to complain to a data protection authority, you may do so. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first by email.
Children
The Lux Designer is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information on this site, contact us and we will remove it.
